What is IV Therapy?

IV (stands for intravenous), which means that the fluid is administered through the veins. The fluids are a sodium chloride solutions that helps provide hydration and replenish your electrolytes. At Midwest Mobile IV we provide additional additives to the fluids to help promote health and fight symptoms such as dehydration, hangovers, migraines, morning sickness and many more. Approximately 80% of all hospital visitors are administered an IV. The body will absorb 90-100% of nutrients administered through and IV vs 20-50% that are taken orally and need to be absorbed by the gut.

Benefits of IV Therapy

What is IV Therapy?

Intravenous (IV) Therapy works by using infusion, often referred to as a drip to administer fluids and medicine into the body. IV therapy is the fastest way to deliver medications, vitamins/ nutrients and more into the bloodstream to help with various health conditions and dehydration. IV infusion bypasses the digestive track which means quicker and more observation into the body.  The digestive track has an absorption rate anywhere between 8-40% vs IV absorption of 99.9%.  This allows for maximum absorption leading to optimized recovery time and maintaining vitamin and nutrient levels to improve the body's overall health and well being.

Did you know that 80% of hospital patients are administered an IV to help with dehydration and vitamin/ medication infusion.

Our nurses have real life experience with years of experience as RN’s in hospital settings (overseen by Dr. Roberts). They have the knowledge and experience to administer the IV fluids and monitor the patient during the process.
